Kudos to Walmart employees on Black Friday

To the Editor:

I’d like to send huge kudos to all the staff at the Armory Drive Walmart in Franklin.

My sister and I, seasoned Black Friday shoppers, usually do our shopping in bigger city stores, but decided to stay in town for this year’s event. There were still long lines and multitudes of shoppers, but the employees at this store made it as pleasant an experience as possible.

Each on-the-floor staff sought out customers needing assistance, answered questions they knew answers to and found out what they didn’t. Most of us stood in line for five to six hours awaiting the 5 a.m. electronics sale and were repeatedly checked on and even offered free little snack packs several times.

The cashiers were experienced, and quickly scanned and bagged each purchase. Many customers were rude and cranky, yet every employee remained cordial and helpful.

I am beyond proud of how our small-town store responded to the madness of this event and hope they will be recognized for their deeds.
