Berma Lee Thornton

FRANKLIN—Berma Lee Thornton of Wilson Street, Franklin, Virginia passed December 1, 2010. The Southampton County native was born July 25, 1931. Berma was a member of St. Mount Holiness Church where she served on the Missionary Circle. Berma was preceded in death by her son, William “Bootlum” Thornton and sister, Lizzie Ebron. She is survived by two daughters, Sheila Porter, Franklin, Virginia, Trudy Thornton, Midlothian, VA; a devoted niece, Pamela W. Artis, nieces, nephews, cousins and a long-time friend, Essie Kindred.

A service celebrating her life will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, December 6, 2010, St. Mount Holiness Church, 32376 Sycamore Church Road, Franklin, Virginia with the pastor, Bishop Charlie Collins delivering the eulogy.
