WINDSOR — The Windsor High School girls’ volleyball team was defeated by Middlesex in the semi-final round of the Region A Division 2 playoffs Monday night.

The Dukes came into the evening as the top-ranked team in Region A after winning the Tri-Rivers District tournament.

The Dukes dropped three straight sets, 25-19, 25-18, and 25-13, to the Lady Chargers.

Dukes’ head Volleyball Coach Jeff Burchette was unavailable for comment after the game.

Mackenzie Allen led the Dukes with 6 kills. Also in on scoring was Tiffany Rap who had 4 aces and 2 kills, and Taylor Gay had 4 kills and 1 assist; Lyndee Spencer had 7 assists on the evening.

The Dukes ended their season with a record of 16-5.
