Carrsville – Frank Douglas Latimer, 87, died November 2, 2010 at Autumn Care of Suffolk. He was born in Isle of Wight County, the son of the late Mary Thelma Jordan and Frank Moore Latimer. He was a Navy veteran of WW II having served on the USS Wisconsin in the Pacific. Mr. Latimer was manager of Frank Moore Latimer’s Grocery Store at Benns Church and a member of Mill Swamp Baptist Church.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife Frances Williams Latimer; one daughter, Christy L. West of Yorktown and one sister, Jean Latimer Spady (Roland) of Smithfield.

The funeral, with military honors, will be conducted at 7 pm Friday, November 5, 2010 with the Rev. Jarvis M. Hearn officiating. Burial will be at the Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery at a later date. The family will receive friends after the service at the funeral home.
