Clark joins TN staff

FRANKLIN—Tony Clark has joined The Tidewater News as a marketing consultant and director of special projects.

“I’m excited for the opportunity to work with a staff of professional, energetic people that are interested in producing quality products,” Clark said. “The Tidewater News has been an integral part of this community for a long time, and I’m proud to be associated with it going forward.”

Prior to joining The Tidewater News, Clark was an employee benefits consultant for Manry-Rawls Corp. He holds business degrees from Virginia Commonwealth University and J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College.

“He understands Western Tidewater’s economy and cares deeply about its well-being,” Stewart added. “He has many existing relationships in the business community and will be a natural at helping our clients grow their businesses through effective marketing.”

Clark is chairman of the Virginians Against the Outlying Landing Field and serves on the boards of directors for the Franklin-Southampton Area Chamber of Commerce and Capron-Drewryville Athletic Association. Clark is also the Administrative Council chairman for Capron United Methodist Church.

Clark and his wife, Mary Ann, live in Capron and have two children, Whitman and Stella.
