To the Editor:

I needed to write this letter due a heaviness on my heart. I thought this may touch others, especially due to all the bad things going on in the world and tough times for everyone.

A few weeks ago, I lost a dear friend. It was very tough, and I wanted to have a special flower fixed for her funeral. I just rode around in a daze thinking.

I stopped by Designs by Sandra’s. I had a lot of different things I wanted it to have. She was so kind and went out of her way to fix the perfect one. I also wanted to put a “breast cancer pink” pin on it for the final touch. She didn’t have one and sent me to Alphabet Soup. They too were also so kind and found the perfect pin and would not let me pay for it.

I just want to say thank-you so much to Sandra’s and Alphabet Soup for their kindness. What started out being such a difficult day turned out to be a blessing to me. As they say, it does pay to shop in your town. God bless.
