NORFOLK-Mrs. Mary Virginia Worrell Etheridge, age 92, of McMurray, PA died on October 16, 2010 at The Pines of Mount Lebanon. She was born in Handson, Southampton County, VA, the daughter of the late John Robert Worrell and Mary Adele Bowles Worrell and the widow of Thomas W. Etheridge of Chester Field Heights, Norfolk, VA. She was a member of Talbot Park Baptist Church in Norfolk, VA.

Mrs. Etheridge was preceded by her sister Doris Worrell Williams Bateman of Elizabeth City, NC. She is survived by three nephews Roderick Williams and his wife Judy; Robert Williams and his wife Linda all of McMurray, PA; also survived by a nephew Jeffery Dunning and his wife June of Chesapeake, VA. Mrs. Etheridge has many great and great-great nieces and nephews living in Virginia, North Carolina, Indiana, Ohio and Pennsylvania.

She is retired from the Norfolk Naval Supply Center, was a member of the Ocean View Chapter #34 of the Eastern Star, and Monticello Charter 1145 of the American Business Women’s Association.

The funeral services will be conducted Saturday, October 23rd at 10:30 a.m. at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel in Norfolk. The burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, October 22nd from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Talbot Park Baptist Church.
