FRANKLIN—Hester Aretha “Rea” Taylor, 82, of Franklin, died Oct. 11, 2010, at Courtland Health Care Center.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at St. Luke United Church of Christ, Sedley, with the Rev. Dr. J.J. Ferguson presiding. Burial will be in Mt. Moriah Cemetery, Sussex County. A wake was held Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m.

Taylor was a member of St. Luke United Church of Christ.

Survivors include two daughters, Virginia L. Taylor of Franklin and Peggy T. Bradshaw (Melvin Sr.) of Suffolk; adopted daughter, Bernet Green; grandchildren, Deborah Parker (Travis), Sharon Taylor, Raymond Bradshaw (Melissa), Melvin Bradshaw Jr. and Shakunda Edmonds (Ronnie Jr.); 13 great-grandchildren; one uncle, the Rev. Freddie Hines (Leona); one sister-in-law, Alma Taylor; extended family, the Dickerson family; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
