ISLE OF WIGHT—Mrs. Virgie Boone Foster of Brooklyn, NY, passed October 8, 2010.  The Isle of Wight County native was born February 8, 1922 to the late Jim and Elnora Boone. She retired from Pretlow Peanut Factory and was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church.

She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Lizz C. Foster, WillieMae Habersham (Jesse), Brooklyn, NY; five sons, Austin Foster, Sr. (Thalia) of Sandston, VA, Jack Foster (Kay) of Franklin, VA, Ernest L. Foster of Ivor, VA, LLody B. Foster of Norfolk, VA, MacArthur Davis of Brooklyn, NY; one sister, Beatrice Hunter of Franklin, VA; 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, five great greatgrandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A homegoing Service will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, October 13, 2010, Piney Grove Baptist Church, 1071 Carrsville Hwy., Franklin, VA where Reverend Alfred Brown is pastor; Reverend Joseph Goode is delivering the eulogy. The interment is in Southview Cemetery. On the day of service, her remains will be placed in church for viewing by 12:00 Noon.   A traditional service with dignity will be conducted by Wm. M.
