RIVER TRAIL RUN—C. More Nuts, 3 years old, passed away Sept. 24, 2010, from a vehicle collision, the victim of a hit-and-run. The driver was not identified.

Mr. Nuts was a lifelong resident of Isle of Wight County and the son of the late William and Ellen Nuts. He resided in the upper fork of Woodward’s oak tree.

“C. More,” as his friends called him, was an avid outdoorsman and woodsman. Most days found him at play in the forest, scurrying across limbs and leaping branches.

He loved sunsets, autumn air, beech trees and good conversation. His friends spoke of his incessant “chatting away,” putting loved ones and visitors at ease whenever in his presence.

He is survived by his wife of four months, Bush E. Tail, and three children, Scur E. Round, Eat A. Corn and Hug A. Tree, along with numerous aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces.

A private funeral took place Sept. 25 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to the Wildlife Foundation.

C. More gave much enjoyment to friends, family, neighbors and those just passing through. He will be greatly missed.
