Franklin, Southampton and Windsor cruised to blowout victories Friday in high school football action Friday night.

Area private schools were less fortunate as Southampton Academy, Isle of Wight Academy and Tidewater Academy each lost.

Franklin beat Middlesex 48-7 at home, Southampton downed Prince Edward 28-7 on the road, and Windsor blasted Northampton 55-14 at home.

Southampton Academy blew a 30-13 halftime lead and lost 41-30 to Hampton Roads Academy. Isle of Wight Academy lost 10-7 to Brunswick Academy on the road, and Tidewater Academy fell 41-20 to Fuqua on the Warriors’ homecoming.
