Wounded Warrior Program coming to Franklin

FRANKLIN—A monthly program designed to ensure support and services for veterans and their families is coming to Franklin starting Thursday.
A resource specialist for the Virginia Wounded Warrior Program will be available at the American Legion Post 73 on Armory Drive on the fourth Thursday of each month from 10 to 11:30 a.m.
The resource specialist will provide information and assistance as it relates to benefits, housing, jobs, education and more. Special emphasis will be given to veterans with stress-related and traumatic brain injuries resulting from combat.
A representative with the Department of Veterans Affairs Vet Center will also be available to provide assistance for those transitioning from the military to civilian life.
