Neta Scott Hart

WINSTON SALEM, N.C.—Neta Scott Hart, 89, passed away Sept. 19, 2010, at her home surrounded by her family.

She was the daughter of John Herman Scott and Neta Carr Scott and the beloved wife of Edward Glenn Hart Sr. They enjoyed 69 years of marriage.

The Harts established their home in Winston-Salem, N.C., in 1955 with Mr. Harts’s transfer there by Wachovia Bank.

Neta was a truly devoted homemaker, wife and mother, always making the needs and wishes of her family her priority.

She and her husband are charter members of Knollwood Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband, Neta is survived by their four children, Glenn Hart Jr. (Kathleen) of Little Plymouth, Neta Hart Morgan of Winston-Salem, Barbara H. West (David) of Marietta, Ga., and Julie H. Sunderman (Michael) of Norcross, Ga.

Netta delighted in their nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Grandchildren are Scott Hart, Kimberly H. Hicks, Jeff Morgan, Joanna M. Reavis, Elizabeth Morgan, Patrick and Bryan West, and Andrew and Eric Sunderman.

She also leaves behind a dear friend and caregiver, Cindi Barber, as well as special cousins, friends and neighbors.

The family wishes to also thank registered nurse Cindy Leonard.

The family will be receiving friends at Salem Funeral and Cremations 6 to 8 p.m.

Tuesday.

A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at Forsyth Memorial

Park followed by a time of fellowship, food and remembrance at Knollwood Baptist Church.
