BRANCHVILLE—Deacon Walter Lawrence Goldsberry, 77, of Margretsville, N.C., departed this life on Aug. 31, 2010, at Roanoke Chowan Hospital.

The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 5, at Rising Star Baptist Church, Branchville, with the Rev. Pernell Edwards officiating. Internment will follow at Rising Star Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 4, at Hood’s Funeral Home in Conway, N.C.
