GATES, N.C.—Philip Marmaduke Hofler, 55, of Gates, N.C., died Aug. 18, 2010, at his home.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home, Gatesville.

Hofler was a saw operator with the former Union Camp.

Survivors include his wife, Judith Challender Hofler; daughters Kristen H. Pope of Carrsville, and Kirby Hofler of Gates; a sister, Julia Kecskes of Virginia Beach; and a brother, Marvin “Monkey” of Sunbury.

Miller Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
