COURTLAND—The felony case against a Sedley man accused of breaking into two Franklin businesses and assaulting two police officers continues Tuesday, Aug. 24, in Southampton County Circuit Court.
Ronnie Allen Stanley, 25, will be arraigned on charges of statutory burglary and assaulting law enforcement officers.
On Jan. 31, a police officer patrolling downtown said he saw Stanley attempting to get into the Grey Fox restaurant on North Main Street, according to court records. The officer noticed a window had been broken out and arrested Stanley, according to court documents.
Stanley is also accused of kicking in the door at Franklin Automotive on the same night, according to court records. Police connected him to that crime by comparing some glass found in the shop to some found on Stanley’s shoe.
While at Southampton Memorial Hospital that same night, police allege Stanley became combative and kicked two police officers, according to court documents.
