SUFFOLK—A Franklin woman was flown to a Norfolk hospital after the compact car she was driving on Route 58 Bypass rolled and hit several trees at 11:57 p.m. Tuesday, Suffolk Police said.

Kayla Jordan, 20, was treated and released, said a spokesman for Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

Jordan was westbound in a 1998 Honda Civic about 1½ miles west of Route 258 when the car left the road, rolled and hit the trees. The vehicle came to rest on its roof.

Jordan was charged with failure to maintain proper control.

Police said speed and alcohol were not factors in the crash.
