Virginia Granger
NEWSOMS—Virginia Louise Pope Granger of Newsoms, 59, died July 10, 2010, at Southampton Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Mount Tabor Baptist Church, Newsoms. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Granger retired from the Southampton County Public School system.
Survivors include daughters Uneeda Granger-Wilkerson of Franklin, Paula Granger of Newsoms and Teresa Granger-Artis of Boykins; sons Roger of Hampton, Matthew Granger of Conway, N.C., Sandy and Johnnie Granger, both of Franklin, and Randy Granger of Newsoms; sisters Lillie Mae Zollicoffer, Annie Mae Freeman and Thelma Artis, all of Newsoms, Barbara Pope of Norfolk, Adele Lewis of Detroit and Fannie Flythe of Baltimore; and a brother, Benjamin Pope of Franklin.
William M. Johnson and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
