Juanita Eddins Edwards, 87, of Emporia, died Friday, July 2, 2010. Survivors include her husband of over 70 years, James C. Edwards, Sr.; her daughter, Elaine E. Wheeler and husband, Ben of Emporia; two sons, Clifton Edwards of Como, NC and Glenn Edwards and wife, Fran of Boykins; two grandchildren, Robert W. Edwards of Como, NC and Melundy E. Vandiford and husband, Brian of Pendleton, NC and three great-grandchildren, Bridgette and Brittany Vandiford and Jonathan Edwards. Mrs. Edwards was preceded in death by her parents, Lonnie and Emma Eddins, a daughter Phyllis E. Clary, a grandson, Bob Wheeler, one brother and two sisters. The funeral service led by The Reverend Dr. Robert P. Wyatt and Pastor Michael Baugham was held 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at Owen Funeral Home, Jarratt, Virginia. Interment followed at Greensville Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers were Bill Harrison, Arthur Avent, Jr., D. L. Phillips, Earl Clements, Ronny Griffin and Ronnie Cobb.
