Overtime Sports Bar remains in first place in Co-Ed league

In the Franklin Parks and Recreation Co-ed Adult Softball League, Overtime Sports Bar remains in first place with an 11-2 record.
On June 22, Mudduck Express posted a forfeit win over State Farm. In the other games, Franklin Collision beat Grey Fox 8-3 and Overtime Sports bar beat David’s Market 29-8.
Games on June 24 were postponed due to the heat.

In Franklin Parks and Recreation Coach-Pitch action from June 21, the Hustlers regained sole possession of first place by edging the Wolfpack 7-4. The Hustlers took a 7-3 lead after two innings and held off a rally by the Wolfpack in the fifth inning to hold on for the win.
On June 23, the Braves edged the Blasters 12-9. After trailing the Blasters 9-5 going into the bottom of the fourth inning, the Braves exploded for six runs and held the Blasters scoreless in the fifth inning to complete the comeback.

In Junior Baseball action, Parker Oil posted its third win of the season with a 9-7 victory over Lambda Nu on June 26 at Armory Stadium Complex.
Parker Oil scored 3 runs in the top of the first inning and Lambda Nu tied the game at 3-3 in the bottom of the inning. Parker Oil took a 5-3 lead in the second inning on a single by Masco Barrett, and home run by Dillon McKenzie.
Trailing 7-4 going into the sixth inning, Lambda Nu came back to tie the score 7-7 on to walks, and doubles by Jaquan Walton and Keith Suiter. Parker Oil took a 9-7 lead in the top of the seventh inning and held Lambda Nu scoreless in the bottom of the seventh for the win.
