Hershel Morton Hill
ELIZABETH CITY, N.C.—Hershel Morton Hill, 95, formally of the Suffolk area, passed away June 30, 2010, at Carolina House in Elizabeth City.
He was a retired Friends (Quaker) Minister, having served in the ministry with his wife Janetta for nearly 70 years.
Hershel is survived by his wife of 74 years, Janetta Ruth Messner Hill; a son; a daughter; five grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 3, at Up River Friends Meeting in Belvidere, N.C. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Up River Friends Cemetery.
