Amita Artis
Amita Artis of Washington Street, Franklin, passed away Sunday, June 27, 2010, at Southampton Memorial Hospital.
The Newport News native is survived by a daughter Arrianne Artis of Suffolk; five sons including Marelle, Valdez, Sanchez and Jason Artis, all of Franklin, mother Marion Artis; six sisters; two brothers; and maternal grandfather, Pernell Ricks.
A celebration of life will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, July 3, at Full Gospel Kingdom Church, 1538 Carrsville Highway, Franklin, where Terrance Johnson is pastor.
A traditional service with dignity will be conducted by Wm. M. Johnson & Sons in Franklin.
