To the editor:

On behalf of the Franklin High School Athletic Department — all of its coaches and players — I would like to thank David Fuller, chief executive officer; Kim Marks, assistant chief executive officer; Anne Williams, marketing director; and all of the doctors, nurses and other staff members of the Southampton Memorial Hospital for giving our student athletes free athletic physicals for the upcoming sports season.

In the midst of the economic challenges that we are facing in our community, it is very pleasing to know that there are still people who are willing to give of their time and personal resources to help others.

The Southampton Memorial Hospital staff was absolutely wonderful to us and we sincerely appreciate their generosity.
