Karen P. Chase
WINDSOR—Karen Lindsey Phillips Chase, 47, passed away June 14, 2010, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
She was born in North Carolina and reared in Franklin.
Karen was a graduate of Franklin High School and the Louise Obici School of Nursing.
She had been a registered nurse with the Western Tidewater Health District for over 25 years.
Karen was a beautiful person inside and out and was always happy and smiling. She loved gardening and cooking, but her family was her main love.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Rusty Chase; three daughters, Lindsey Christine Chase, Lauren Brooke Chase and Leigh-Ann Phillips Chase; her parents, Eddie and Carol Phillips; two sisters, Cindy P. Rubino (Elliott) and Nancy P. Scott; two brothers, Eddie A. Phillips, II (Bonnie) and P. Scott Phillips (Amy); one nephew; six nieces; and her loving dog, Midnight.
A graveside funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, June 18, at Windsor Cemetery with the Rev. Mark Habecker officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, and suggest memorials be made to the Karen Chase Memorial Fund, c/o Farmer’s Bank, P. O.
