How’s Business: Things are going well. We have a great curriculum, and wonderful children and parents. Children can enjoy music, reading, teaching and play time.

Something you offer that a customer won’t find elsewhere: Destinee’s Daycare is the only licensed facility of its type in Franklin. We teach children using a preschool curriculum called “Mother Good Time.” We have a Parents’ Night Out the first Saturday of the month. Parents can bring their children to the daycare that night.

One thing you wish everyone knew about your business: Destinee’s Daycare believes children can learn at an early age. We begin teaching children at age 1. Children who attended my daycare are prepared for school. My daycare has a Christian-based setting. I love children and having the opportunity to be a part of their learning and development.

Advice to young entrepreneurs: Always stay focused. No matter what it is that you want to do, make sure that you work hard, put in time and effort, set goals and follow through with them, and keep yourself current in information. Always believe in yourself and your abilities.

Your first job: Cooking at the Martin Luther King Center for senior citizens.

Your role model: Ann Joyner Cole is my spiritual role model for teaching me to walk by faith and not by sight.
