William L. Pope
SUFFOLK – William Lawrence Pope, 83, of Suffolk, died May 19, 2010, at Sentara Obici Hospital. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Kingdom Hall. Burial was in Carver Memorial Cemetery. Mr. Pope was a native of Southampton County. He retired as the Chief Water Operator at the Portsmouth Water Department after more than 30 years of service. Survivors include his wife, Betty Ann Pope; three daughters; one son; three sisters; and two brothers; and four stepchildren. Crocker Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
