Irene N. O’Meara

Carrsville – Irene Newsome O’Meara, 65, died May 20, 2010 at her residence. She was a daughter of the late Roma W. and Oretha Cobb Newsome. Mrs. O’Meara was a graduate of Franklin High School and St. Paul College and was a member of Black Creek Baptist Church. She retired from Union Camp Corporation in 1999.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Delbert E. O’Meara; her son, Kenneth I. Britt (Susan); granddaughter, Virginia D. Britt; four sisters, Audrey N. Padgett (Donald), Edna N. Butler (Marvin), Laura N. Stieh (J. E.), Glenda N. Turner (Edward); and three brothers, Roland M. Newsome (Ryland), R. Wendell Newsome, and Clayton C. Newsome (Joan).

The funeral will be conducted at 2 pm Sunday, May 23, 2010, in the chapel of Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. Greg Kitts officiating. Interment will follow in Black Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
