Carol R. Mayfield

Franklin, VA – Carol Russell Mayfield, 70, died May 18, 2010 at her residence. She was born in Jacksonville, FL, a daughter of the late Ira Buford Russell and Margaret Overstreet Russell, and was predeceased by a son, Richard Mayfield.

Survivors include her husband of 52 years, David Mayfield; two sons, Ken Mayfield and wife, Joan, of Franklin, VA, and Ron Mayfield and his fiancée, Linda, of Lakeland, FL; and two grandchildren, Chris Mayfield of Palm Harbor, FL and Adrienne Lassiter and husband, Jon, of Chesapeake, VA.

A graveside service will be conducted at 1 pm Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at Oaklawn Cemetery in Plant City, FL, with the Rev. Daniel Braddock officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 am Tuesday at Hopewell Funeral Home in Plant City. Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, has charge of local arrangements. www.wrightfuneralhome.org
