Michael T. Gadsby
BOYKINS—Michael Thomas Gadsby, 49, beloved husband and father, died May 9, 2010 at Southampton Memorial Hospital. He was born in Brunswick, Ga. and was predeceased by a sister, Teresa Gadsby. Michael was an electrician with Tristar Electric Company in Chesapeake. He was a former Boykins Town Councilman and supported Newsoms girls softball.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 23 years, Rosemary Wingfield Gadsby; two daughters, Margaret Rose Gadsby and Aislinn Rose Gadsby; one son, Ian Michael Gadsby; his parents, Margaret Holt Gadsby and Donald Francis Gadsby, of Norfolk; one sister, Debbie Mullura (Tom) of the Villages, Fl, two brothers, Christopher Thomas Gadsby (Nancy) of the Woodlands, TX, and Brian Thomas Gadsby (Laura) of Virginia Beach; and his mother-in-law, Anne Wingfield of Boykins.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 12, 2010, at Boykins Baptist Church with the Rev. Raymond Bunn officiating. A reception will follow in the church social hall. Memorials may be made to the Newsoms Athletic Association, c/o Brian Rountree, 29140 Cypress Bridge Road, Newsoms, 23874, for girls softball.
