Southampton Academy loses 4-1 in title game

LAWRENCEVILLE-Southampton Academy gave up three early goals and failed to rally in the second half, losing 4-1 to Kenston Forest School in the Virginia Commonwealth Conference championship game here Friday.

The Raiders got their lone goal from senior captain Tim Chrysatomous off a through ball by sophomore Austin Foster.

SA finished with a record of 8-3-1.

Following the game, several Raiders were recognized, including Chrysatomous, who named the conference’s Most Valuable Player. He and his brother, Drey, a sophomore, were named first-team all-conference along with junior Michael Milteer.

Earning second-team all-conference honors were seniors Wade Martin and Brett Moore and sophomore Austin Foster.

Senior Forrest Best was named to the all-academic team.
