ENON — Tidewater Academy’s Cary Beahm hit the game-winning RBI in the 10th inning to lift her team to a 2-1 win over Spirit Home School on Tuesday.

Tidewater pitcher Hayes Holdsworth was tagged with her ninth win for her perfect season. Holdsworth pitched 16 strikeouts and gave up 5 hits and no walks. She also went 1-for-4 at the plate, scoring a run in the fourth inning.

The win in the non-conference home game gives Tidewater a 15-2 overall record and 9-1 record in the Virginia Commonwealth Conference.

Spirit Home School’s Carly Adams was tagged with the loss. Adams struck out 13 batters, walked 2 and gave up 5 hits.

Spirit Home scored its run in the fourth inning and had 5 hits and committed no errors.

Tidewater had 5 hits and committed 3 errors. Rebbecca Renney went 2-for-4, including a double.
