Veronica S. Byrd
SEVERN, NC—Veronica “Ronnie” Stephenson Byrd, age 67, of Severn, NC died April 28, 2010.
Mrs. Byrd, also known to many as “Nana”, worked for many years at Seaboard Manufacturing Company and at Pine Forest Rest Home in Potecasi.
Survivors include her hushand, Harvey Paul Byrd, Sr., Her children, Harvey Paul Byrd Jr. of Pendleton, NC, Earl Judson Byrd of Wilson, NC, William Henry Byrd and his wife Teresa of Franklin, VA, Cynthia Vaughan of Severn, Debra Summers of Milwaukee, NC and Lisa Byrd Temple of Seven Springs, NC.
Her sisters, Wanda Baker of Nags Head, NC, Kitty Weiskopf of Canton, Maryland, Nancy Latone of Rochester, NJ, Donna Futrell, formerly of Boykins, VA, now of Conway, NC and her brother Jennings Stephenson of Lindellwall, NJ. Thirteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 1, 2010 at 4:00 PM at Severn Baptist Church, Severn, NC, with Rev. Brent Hobbs officiating. Burial will follow at Milwaukee Cemetery, Milwaukee, NC.
The family will receive friends at Massey Funeral Home in Jackson, NC, Friday from 7:00 until 9:00 PM.
