Tidewater drops first game of season

Tidewater Academy lost its first game of the season, dropping 4-3 to Enon in a non-conference game.
Tidewater’s record is 11-1 and 7-0 in the Virginia Commonwealth Conference.
For Tidewater, Marianna Stephenson went 3-for-3, including a triple. She scored 1 run and stole 2 bases. Teammate Hayes Holdsworth went 2-for-4, including a double. She scored a run, and had 1 RBI and a stolen base.
The winning pitcher for Spirit was Carly Adams, who struck out 12 batters and walked 2. The losing pitcher for Tidewater was Taylor Warner (6-1).
Spirit scored 3 runs in the fourth inning and 1 in the seventh on 6 hits and committed no errors.
Tidewater scored 1 run in the sixth and 2 in the seventh on 9 hits and committed 2 errors.
