FARMVILLE—The Fuqua Falcons banged out 13 hits and beat the Southampton Academy Raiders 12-2 .

The Falcons’ defense turned a double play in each of the first three innings to kill any potential rallies by the Raiders.

John Hinkle hit a triple to right center field to knock in Carson Camp to score the first Raider run. Then, Hinkle scored the last run when Ryan Pittman grounded out to the shortstop.

The Raiders record fell to 5-4 and 4-4 in the Virginia Commonwealth Conference.

The Raiders travel to Steward School today, April 16, before returning home against Kenston Forest at 4:30 p.m. Monday, April 19.
