To the Editor:

Last week I contacted Chad Edwards of the Public Works Department in Franklin about my and my neighbor’s clogged ditch.

Within two days, several men appeared. They unclogged the ditches, cleaned everything out, planted grass and left everything neat and nice. Not only that, they were cheerful and pleasant while doing a difficult job on a hot day.

If this is where some of my taxes are going, then all I can say is “hallelujah!” I would also like to thank Mike Evans for all his help keeping the library afloat. We have great city employees, and they deserve our respect and gratitude.
