Stuart M. Smith

Boykins – Stuart Mason Smith, 42, passed away April 2, 2010. A lifelong resident of Southampton County, he was a son of the late Ann Carter Allen Smith and Reuben Cleveland Smith, Jr. He was a farmer and a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Carson, Va.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia M. Smith; two sons, Cole A. Smith and Mason E. Smith; two brothers, Cleve Smith and wife,Darleen, and Carter Smith and wife, Patricia, all of Drewryville; two aunts, Ethlyn Lewis and Rebecca Lewis, both of Stony Creek; one nephew, Chad Smith; five cousins, Jay Winslow and wife, Mary, and Kathy Winslow, all of Suffolk, Brenda Horton and husband, Doug, of Mechanicsville, Susan Whitfield and husband, Tom, of Augusta, GA, Jimmy Tucker and wife, Ellen, of Chesapeake.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 pm Tuesday, April 6, 2010, at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, with Rev. Chad Brady officiating. Interment will follow at the Smith Family Cemetery.
