LEWISTON WOODVILLE, N.C.—Elizabeth Steinhardt Widmer, 103, widow of Ray Price Widmer, died April 1, 2010, at her residence.
She was born In Franklin, Va., a daughter of the late Harry and Florence Parr Steinhardt, and was predeceased by two sisters, Florence S. Pernell and Mildred S. Jones. Mrs. Widmer was a 1929 UNC Greensboro graduate and a former teacher and counselor in the Guilford County School System. She was a member of High Street United Methodist Church in Franklin, an associate member of All God’s Children United Methodist Church in Aulander, an advisory board member of the Place of Possibilities, and a member of the Ahoskie Woman’s Club.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at All God’s Children United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. Laura G. Early and the Rev. Michael D. Rice officiating. Interment will follow at 4 p.m. in Poplar Spring Cemetery in Franklin. Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to All God’s Children UMC, P. O.
