Lady Warriors remain unbeaten

COURTLAND—Tidewater Academy romped to a 15-1 victory over host Southampton Academy in Virginia Commonwealth Conference girls’ softball action Tuesday.

Tidewater scored one run in the second inning, two runs in the fourth, five runs in the sixth and seven runs in the seventh.

The Lady Warriors had 18 hits and committed no errors.

Southampton scored its only run in the sixth and managed just two hits while committing no errors.

The winning pitcher was Taylor Warner, who improved to 5-0. Courtney Tayloe took the loss.

Tidewater improved to 8-0 overall, 5-0 in the VCC.

Standouts for TA were Cary Beahm with four hits, five RBIs and two runs scored and Jordan Clarke-with three hits, two runs and two RBIs.
