To the Editor:

The following letter was written to U.S. Sen. Mark Warner, D-Va.

I wish to make three observations with respect to your vote on the Health Bill, and one consequence.

1. Because you were a balanced governor, you were elected to the Senate by a wide margin, and you had earned my vote.

2. The people of Virginia were opposed to the health care reform bill by a wide margin, yet you voted for this bill against our wishes.

3. Your Democratic leadership was for the bill and in fact pushed for its passage. It seems that you value their goodwill over and above our wishes. This is not why we elected you. If you do not represent us, then who will?

I will not vote for you again, no matter the office to which you aspire. I believe that integrity is something that should not be for sale nor squandered.
