SA’s soccer team remains unbeaten

Southampton Academy’s varsity soccer team improved to 4-0 Monday night, beating conference opponent Fuqua School 6-0.

The SA defense, led by junior Michael Milteer and sophomores Rachel Holland, Austin Foster and goalkeeper Thomas Taylor, recorded its third shutout in four games.

Forest Best and Tim Chrysatomous scored two goals each for the winners, while Cody Barksdale and Drey Chrysotomous scored one apiece.

In action Thursday, the Raiders whipped Surry County 7-0 on a second hat trick by sophomore Drey Chrysotomous and beat Windsor High 6-1 on brother Tim’s first hat trick of the season.

SA hosts Virginia Commonwealth Conference rival Isle of Wight Academy at 4:30 p.m. Thursday.
