S. Donald Eason

Franklin – Sidney Donald “Donnie” Eason, 71, died March 9, 2010 at Southampton Memorial Hospital. He was born in Franklin and was predeceased by his father, Sidney Elmo Eason. Donnie was a 1956 graduate of Franklin High School and a U. S. Air Force veteran from 1956 to 1960. He was a longtime barber in the area and a member of Franklin Baptist Church. He was a former member of the Franklin Lion’s Club, Hunterdale Ruritan Club, and Cypress Cove Country Club, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening.
Left to cherish his memory are two daughters, Susan Ann E. Windrum (Matthew) of Croton-on-Hudson, NY and Donna Lynn E. Rice (Tim) of Windsor; his mother, Susie Lee Edwards Branch Eason, one sister, Betty E. Lowe, both of Franklin; five grandchildren, Matthew Ryan Windrum, Emma Katherine Windrum, Kellie Kokes, Donald Thomas Rice, and Betsy Rice; one niece, Sharon Hill; and two nephews, Kenneth and Michael Lowe.
The funeral will be conducted at 3 pm Sunday in the chapel of Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. Sharon James and the Rev. James W. Browder, III, officiating. Interment, with military honors, will follow in Poplar Spring Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
