FRANKLIN—Students in Isle of Wight County will be paying for the snow days in coming weeks. The school district recently announced its makeup schedule.

■ All elementary early dismissals for collaborative planning have been canceled for the remainder of the school year. All elementary students will be dismissed at 3:50 p.m. today and on May 12.

■ Monday will be a regular school day. Parent-teacher conferences were originally scheduled for Monday and will be scheduled by schools as needed.

■ The early dismissals scheduled for exams on April 1 and 2, have been canceled. All students will be dismissed at their regular times on April 1 and 2

Charles Turner, superintendent of Southampton County Schools, said the district had a makeup day last month, and with the additional time that was already included in the calendar, he doesn’t anticipate anymore “as long as we don’t see anymore snow.”

Dr. Michelle Belle, superintendent of Franklin City Schools, said she doesn’t anticipate any additional makeup days either, as long as the weather holds up.
