Melba B. Bundick
FRANKLIN—Deaconess Melba B. Bundick of Edgehill Drive, Franklin died March 1, 2010 in her home. The Isle of Wight County native was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church where she served as a Deaconess, a member of the Ladies Chorus, the Missionary Choir, the Missionary Circle, the Willing Workers, the Pastor’s Aide Committee, Treasurer and Teacher of the Sunday School; she was also a member of Gracious Living Seniors and a former member of the Martin Luther King Choir.
She is survived by her husband, Rufus Bundick; three daughters, Joyce Bynum, Portsmouth, Virginia, Carolyn Claiborne, Zenobia Williams, both of Franklin, Virginia; two sons, James Barnes, Woodbridge, VA, Rufus H. Bundick, Jr, Franklin, Virginia; one sister, Carolyn Britt, Franklin, Virginia; three brothers, Andrew Barnes, Harry D. Barnes, Franklin, Virginia, Prince Barnes, Jr., East Elmhurst, New York; grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, March 6, 2010, Piney Grove Baptist Church, 1071 Carrsville Hwy., Franklin, Virginia, with the Pastor, Reverend Alfred D. Brown, Sr. delivering the message. Burial is in Southview Cemetery. William M. Johnson and Son Funeral is in charge of arrangements
