Irene Harrell
JARRATT—Irene Lynch Harrell, 78, widow of Lester W. Harrell, died Monday, Feb. 15, 2010. Survivors include two daughters, Lynn H. Ramsey and husband, Travis of Drewryville and Jo Ann Harrell of Richmond; two grandchildren, Jason Ramsey and friend Betty Cousins of Drewryville and Amy R. Hinson and husband, Jonathan of Newsoms; a great-grandson, Andrew Scott Hinson of Newsoms; one sister, Katie Lloyd and husband, Arlo of Alexandria; three brothers, Roy Lynch and friend Alice of Hopewell, Walter Lynch and Willis Lynch, both of Littleton, NC; numerous nieces and nephews and many friends including her special sisters she grew up with at the Jackson-Field Home. Mrs. Harrell was preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth Lynch and two sisters, Dorothy Butler and Margaret Ann Lynch. The family will receive friends 6-8:30 p.m. Wednesday (tonight) at Owen Funeral Home, 303 S. Halifax Rd in Jarratt where the funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, February 18, 2010. Interment will follow at High Hills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Jarratt Volunteer Fire Department or to High Hills Baptist Church.
