FRANKLIN—State and local government offices, including the Department of Motor Vehicles, will be closed Monday to celebrate the President’s Day holiday.

All post offices will be closed and there will be no mail delivery Monday, either.

Public schools in Franklin and Southampton will be open, however. Isle of Wight Schools will be closed.

Franklin schools will operate on an early closing schedule and Southampton County schools will close at 1 p.m.

The Tidewater News office on Armory Drive will be open for regular office hours, which is from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
