Clarine Hendricks
BRANCHVILLE—Clarine Hendricks, 91, departed her life on Feb. 6, 2010 in Southampton Memorial Hospital. She was born July 21, 1918 to the late Napoleon Peeples and Ella Stephens Peeples in Branchville. She was predeceased by her husband Joe Hendricks and her son, Joe Lee Hendricks.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory, two daughters, Corinne Barham (Jeremiah) of West Haverstraw, N.Y. and Delores Holley (Horace) of Newsoms, Va.; a brother Paul Peeples of Petersburg, Va. She was predeceased by two brothers and two sisters, Jonathan Peebles (Alice), Johnnie Peeples (Marion), Pearlie Austin (Obie) and Mattie Day (Phillip); seven grandchildren, Clarissa Hendricks of East Orange, N.J., Geraldine Chinnery of Haverstraw, N.Y., Robbie Warren (Lashon) of Waldorf, Md., Calvin Barbera of Garysburg, N.C. Rodney Scoggins of Suffolk, Va., Jeremiah R. Barham of West Haverstraw, N.Y., Michael Warren of Washington, D.C.; eight great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13 in the Galilee Baptist Church, 15688 Old Branchville Road, Branchville, Va. The family will receive friends Friday, Feb. 12 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Elvin Vaughan Funeral Home, 1717 South Street, Franklin.
