Franklin, Southampton County and Isle of Wight County public schools will not hold classes again Tuesday as the area thaws out from a winter storm.

Southampton County closed its schools, citing icy road conditions. Franklin and Isle of Wight Schools already were going to be closed Tuesday for professional development and a teacher work day, respectively. Isle of Wight teachers and administrators should report Tuesday as scheduled. Neither staff nor students should report to Franklin schools.

Paul D. Camp Community College will open at noon Tuesday.

Chowan University, which was closed Monday, will reopen for regular classes on Tuesday.
