Emmett R. Womble
FRANKLIN—Emmett Ronnie Womble, 68, died Jan. 28, 2010 at his residence. He was born in Southampton County, a son of the late Cecil Elmer and Beatrice Beale Womble and was predeceased by two brothers, Willie and Willard Womble.
Survivors include his wife, Elsie Hedgepeth Womble; two daughters, Carol W. Adams (Donald) of Roanoke and Juanita W. Smith (Rev. James) of Stephenson; one son, Emmett Ronnie Womble, Jr. of Franklin; one grandchild, Ean Zachary Smith; one sister, Willis Buhls of Wakefield; one brother, Charles M. Womble of Macon, GA; and nieces and nephews. The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. James Smith officiating. Due to the weather, interment will be private when the weather permits at Rosemont Cemetery.
