Sarah Corbin Bigby, 93, of Hopewell, died Thursday, January 28, 2010 in MCV Hospital. She was born in Isle of Wight County and had been a resident of his area since 1960. Mrs. Bigby was a retired Librarian with the Prince George Co. School System, a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church, a graduate of Longwood College and a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, Zeta chapter, Friends of the Library, Historic Hopewell Foundation and the Womans Club of Hopewell. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Doris Daughtery Cobin and her husband, Leon Bigby. Surviving are a niece Blossom Bigby Gordon of Texarkana, Ark., a cousin Margery Daughtrey of Long Island, New York and other numerous relatives. A funeral service will be held Monday, February 1, 2010 at11:00 AM in Wesley United Methodist Church with Wayne Rickman, pastor , assisted by Rev. Teresa Keezel, former pastor ,officiating .
