Call it a “home pool advantage” for the Lady Saints this season because with a 3-0 Senior Day Friday at the Suffolk Family YMCA, Nansemond-Suffolk Academy completed a perfect 8-0 season at its home pool.

The Lady Saints defeated Cape Henry, Norfolk Collegiate and Norfolk Christian, all Tidewater Conference foes, to also give NSA a 9-0 record against TCIS opponents this season.

Headlining the three victories was sophomore Gabrielle Bishop. Bishop broke school records in the 200-meter individual medley (2:28.58) and the 100 backstroke (1:07.69). Bishop’s time in the individual medley was just shy of two seconds faster than anyone in the boys field.

Going back to last Friday, Bishop’s broken three individual school records and helped set two new relay school records in the last week.

Senior Andrea Beale won the 50-meter freestyle, edging Cape Henry’s Addie Cooper by 0.02 seconds, and the 100 freestyle with sophomore teammate Meredith Davis coming in second.

NSA’s boys team beat Norfolk Christian and Norfolk Collegiate, but lost to Cape Henry for its first TCIS loss of the season (8-1).
